Hydrangea Hinge Card

I stepped out of my prevalent style box to make this pretty be dependent card using the Hydrangea set from Kitchen Go down Stamps. It's much more vintage-y and distressed looking than my familiar projects, but I saw this technique, called Elderly Tiles, in the most recent Technique Junkies newsletter and contemplation it would work well with these images.

Since the images on her instance cards were so pretty and vibrant, I followed Maria's "formulary" for ink combinations for the flowers and leaves, using a few substitutions for ensign not in my collection--yet! I did some masking with sticky notes to overlap the flowers and foliage. I added one of the butterfly images, too, placing it so it looked resembling it was just about to land on one of the blooms. The luminous stamps make this so easy to do!

I placed the statue on a hinged cardfront. This was so easy to do with my Scor-Pal (acknowledgments again, Michele, David, Jake, and Zach!). I tied a fair piece of ribbon through two holes punched in the hinged part to finish off the card.
